Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for the Springfield Regional Medical Center’s Outpatient Surgery unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care with strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and plan care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure and BLS; ACLS or PALS is preferred. CNOR and SGNA are beneficial.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support; ACLS or PALS preferred at hire (must obtain from approved source).
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team and maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
