Job summary

Trinity Health MI is hiring for a part-time, day-shift RN for the Outpatient Surgery Center - PreOp/PACU at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. You will provide holistic perioperative nursing care, plan and evaluate patient needs, and collaborate with anesthesiology and surgical teams to ensure high-quality, same-day discharge outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a Michigan RN license, BLS, and a commitment to obtain a BSN within five years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required or commitment to obtain BSN within five years.
• Current Michigan Nursing License and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• View patients holistically; considers physical, psychosocial, emotional, age-specific, cultural and spiritual factors.
• Demonstrate critical thinking by gathering and analyzing patient information and responding to a patient situation.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise an individualized plan of care using evidence-based interventions and standards of care.
• Identify patient and family education needs and develop teaching plans based on evidence-based practice with teach-back.
• Communicate patient status and interventions clearly in the EMR and with the care team during rounds and handoffs.
• Maintain a positive patient experience and foster professional relationships to resolve conflicts.
