Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Surgery Center/PreOp-PACU. Requires BSN within five years, current Michigan nursing license, and BLS.

Responsibilities include holistic patient assessment, care planning, teaching, and discharge planning in a fast-paced, day-shift environment. The department handles multiple service lines with ongoing certifications such as ACLS, PALS, CAPA and a commitment to evidence-based practice and compassionate,

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN to be obtained within five years of hire.
• Current Michigan nursing license and BLS certification are required.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, age-specific care, and strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• View patients holistically considering their physical, psychosocial, emotional, age-specific, cultural and spiritual factors.
• Perform appropriate assessments for identified patient populations.
• Gather and analyze patient information; respond to clinical situations.
• Develop and evaluate an individualized care plan using evidence-based interventions.
• Identify discharge needs and plan across the care continuum with family involvement.
• Educate patients and families; develop teaching plans based on evidence-based practice.
• Use teach-back to ensure learning effectiveness.
• Coordinate resources to ensure readiness for discharge in collaboration with other disciplines.
• Create a positive patient experience with clear communication and documentation.
• Maintain professional relationships and address conflicts constructively.
• Assist in problem identification and participate in solutions.
