Job summary

AdventHealth in Calhoun, GA is seeking a registered nurse for full-time Day shift in the Surgical Services/endoscopy setting. You will analyze assessments, plan care, administer medications, and ensure safe handoffs with the surgical team.

Minimum ADN required with RN license; BSN preferred. One year of Med-Surgical, surgical, or endoscopy experience is preferred. The role offers salary ranges posted and opportunities for clinical ladder growth within AdventHealth.

Qualifications

• RN license required.

Job Description:

Minimum Pay: $35 / hour

Work Schedule: 4, 10-hour shifts with rotating day off. 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, rotating endoscopy call

• Analyzes assessment data to determine and validate diagnoses with the patient, family, and healthcare providers.
• Identifies and formulates expected outcomes based on diagnoses, ensuring they are realistic, attainable, and culturally appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, maintaining professional relationships and promoting a positive environment.
• Educates patients on procedures, answers related questions, and ensures patient safety throughout care.
• Assists with patient preparation for surgery, including starting IVs, documenting pertinent information, and reporting critical values.
• Ensures accurate and complete handoff to/from surgery, including verifying consent and compliance with hospital policy.
• Develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers, ensuring continuity and documentation.
• Implements interventions from the plan of care safely, timely, and appropriately, documenting actions taken.
• Evaluates patient progress towards outcomes systematically, revising diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as needed.
• Administers medications accurately and in compliance with policy.
• Demonstrates competent technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used in the Surgical Services department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience Med-Surgical, Surgical, or endoscopy nursing [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.75 - $55.47
