The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care to patients in the Infusion Center, ensuring safe and effective administration of intravenous and related therapies. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, obtaining and documenting medical histories, performing diagnostic procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
The RN administers prescribed treatments, including intravenous medications and other infusion therapies, and determines appropriate venipuncture or catheter sites. The role involves closely monitoring patient responses to treatment, documenting observations in the medical record, and providing education to patients and their families regarding procedures and care.
