Campbell County Health in Gillette, WY is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for outpatient clinic care. The LPN will take patient histories, perform initial evaluations, administer prescribed medications, and assist with triage under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, implementing care plans, coordinating with providers, and educating patients and families. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate with Wyoming LPN licensure and CPR

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Wyoming LPN license.
Experience in ambulatory clinic nursing preferred.
CPR certification required per policy.

Utilizes the nursing process to adapt interventions to age-appropriate care.
Implements and evaluates care interventions, delegates appropriately and ensures documentation.

Maintains a clean and safe environment.
May be required to work in other clinic environments according to distribution of staff and patient loads.
Complies with policies and regulations.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage.

Utilizes the nursing process to adapt interventions to meet age-appropriate care, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Implements and evaluates care interventions, delegates appropriately and ensures documentation of interventions.
Evaluates progress towards the prescribed plan of care and coordinates care with clinic providers and intervenes as necessary.
Educates patient and families regarding current health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes.
Ensures superior ongoing patient satisfaction and customer service.
Demonstrates efficient time management and prioritization skills.
Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education.
Practices fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Maintains a clean and safe environment.
May be required to work in other clinic environments according to distribution of staff and patient loads.
Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital and Campbell County Clinic policies and procedures.
Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
