RWJBarnabas Health’s Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ, seeks an RN for the Orthopedics Unit. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessment, evidence-based care, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, well-coordinated treatment. The position requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within six months, with BSN preferred.

The RN will work 7a-7:30p in a full-time, day shift, contributing to education, documentation, and patient advocacy in a vibrant hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification current; ACLS within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; accredited school requirement.
• Experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing preferred; relevant certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families clearly about care and next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary communication.
• Support a collaborative team culture and ongoing professional growth.
