Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics Unit (3 North Annex) in Belleville, NJ. The role focuses on high-quality patient care with strong teamwork in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The RN collaborates with physicians, educates patients and families, and maintains precise EMR documentation. A NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 7a-7:30p schedule including every other weekend are required, with a strong preference for a BSN and Telemetry/Med/Surg experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid multistate license with NJ endorsement in good standing.
• BLS certification current; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred; accredited school.
• Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience preferred and relevant board certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize evolving conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Provide patient and family education to support each phase of care.
• Document accurately in EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to enhance communication and outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth through education and career development.
