Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Orthopedic Unit on the nights shift at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time position is 36 hours per week, with nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am and every other weekend.

You will perform patient assessments, coordinate care plans to ensure interventions are safe and timely, and communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Illinois nursing license (RN) required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and the care team in person, by phone and in writing.
• Delivers individualized teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains current nursing practice knowledge, laws and regulations.
