Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit on nights at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am and every other weekend.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, coordinating plan of care, clear communication with patients and families, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. IL RN licensure and CPR certification are required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing; IL RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
