Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic Unit on the night shift. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week and requires working nights 7:00 pm–7:30 am with every other weekend.

You will assess patients, coordinate care plans, educate families, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining current Illinois nursing licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing; required.
• License: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois; required.
• Certification: Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association; required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
