Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Unit (Nights) for a full-time 36 hours/week role. Shifts run 7:00pm–7:30am, every other weekend, with a pay range of $36.00–$55.80 per hour based on experience.

You will perform patient assessment, coordinate care, teach patients and families, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining Illinois licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program; required.
• Active Illinois nursing license; required.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association); required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data with patients, families and other providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients and staff in person, by phone and in writing.
• Delivers patient/family teaching based on assessment and learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains current knowledge of nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
