Job summary

Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The RN will support perioperative care, coordinate with the surgical team and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative nursing services.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required or expected within hire.
• CNOR and SGNA certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status using established protocols.
• Determine priority of patient problems and needs.
• Implement nursing interventions for acute, critical patients.
• Develop and perform patient care plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic OR environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team; provide pre-, intra-, and post-op nursing.
