Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Suffolk, VA, seeks a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Harbour View Medical Center. You will lead perioperative nursing, assess patients, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe, healing environment.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (or plan to obtain within 6 months). Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred, must obtain within 6 months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to maintain a safe environment
• Manage the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with care providers
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions
• Other duties as assigned
