Job summary

Taos Healthcare is a fantastic long-term care facility under new management. We are seeking a friendly Registered Nurse to render nursing care within scope of practice, following standards, physician orders and center policies.

We offer walk-in interviews at 1340 Maestas Rd, Taos, NM 87571 and provide benefits including health, dental, life and vision coverage. Schedule offers 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM full-time shifts.

Qualifications

• Current NM RN license or compact license.
• BLS/CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Nursing management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow charting and incident reporting procedures.
• Follow narcotic counting, pharmacy order procedures, and restraint reduction.
• Document changes in patient conditions including nutrition, infections, skin issues or weight loss.
• Utilize Quality Life Manual for patient programs and monitoring.
• Notify applicable departments of room changes, LOA, admits or discharges.
• Make rounds with physicians when necessary.

We are looking for a friendly Registered Nurse who will render nursing care within the scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current RN license for NM or Compact License.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient’s conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
