Job summary

Taos Healthcare is a fantastic Long-Term Care Facility under new management, seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our TEAM. This full-time role requires leadership in delivering compassionate nursing care across day and night shifts (7 AM–7 PM / 7 PM–7 AM) and mentoring staff, with a focus on positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's degree in Nursing, NM RN license (or NCLEX/Visa Screen), and a commitment to the highest

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Nursing.
  • RN License in NM; or NCLEX; or Visa Screen certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
  • Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
  • Documents any change in patient's conditions including nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
  • Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
  • Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
  • Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. Operates within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for resident care and direction of nursing care during assigned shift; includes staff assignments, mentoring and educating nursing personnel, working with physicians and other medical professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS
