Job summary

Swannanoa Valley Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a talented, high energy RN or LPN Weekend Unit Manager for their dynamic, hard working team. The Weekend Unit Manager is responsible for supervision of the delivery of care to residents, assessing needs, developing care plans, administering nursing care, evaluating care, and supervising CNA’s and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.

The role involves identifying and participating in process improvements to enhance the customer

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and participate in process improvements that enhance resident care and workflow.
• Complete assessments at admission and discharge.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate with CNA and other personnel.
• Document services for billing and maintain accurate charting.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident status and care.
• Educate staff on established nursing policies and procedures.
• Assign duties to LPNs and aides as directed.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to resolve grievances.
• Maintain a safe, infection-controlled work environment.

Swannanoa Valley Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a talented, high energy RN or LPN Weekend Unit Manager for their dynamic, hard working team!

The Weekend Unit Manageris responsible for supervision of the delivery of care to residents. Assess resident needs, develop care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise CNA’s and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care..

What you will do:

• Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.
• Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
• Supervise nursing staff assigned.
• Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
• Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status or residents.
• Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
• Assign duties to LPN’s and nursing assistants, as directed.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing in resolving grievances with nursing staff, family members, and residents.
• Promote favorable working conditions and relationships.
• Review charting on a weekly basis for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Respond to need for staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff.
• Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you need:

• Registered Nurse or LPN with current state license.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
