Job summary

Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert perioperative care within a collaborative, patient-centered team. You will support surgeons, anesthesia providers and OR staff to deliver safe, high-quality care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in the state, with BLS and ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS Basic Life Support required; ACLS/PALS preferred (may be required within 6 months depending on department).
• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care or OR internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to deliver perioperative care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with surgical team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
