Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN OR Board Coordinator to oversee daily OR scheduling, patient flow, and interdepartmental coordination within a fast-paced perioperative environment.

You will act as a communication hub among surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, sterile processing, and ancillary services to ensure efficient procedures, quality outcomes, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold an active RN license in Georgia or a compact state.
• At least an ADN is required; BSN is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years operating room experience preferred.
• Experience as charge nurse, coordinator, scheduling, or OR leadership is preferred.
• BLS certification is required; CNOR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily operating room schedules and case progression.
• Communicate scheduling updates with surgeons’ offices and add-on cases.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing leadership, sterile processing, and support departments for readiness.
• Monitor case flow and room utilization throughout the day.
• Prioritize emergent and urgent surgical procedures.
• Coordinate staffing resources based on volume and needs.
• Serve as a resource for surgeons and perioperative staff on scheduling and workflow.
• Communicate delays, room turnovers, and schedule adjustments.
