Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a registered nurse to join our operating room team. The role focuses on evaluating patients pre- and post-surgery, providing education to patients and families, and ensuring safe preparation and site verification procedures.

You will work with surgeons, technicians, and unit leaders to maintain patient safety and workflow efficiency, while adhering to universal protocols and evidence-based practices. On-call duties apply during select non-business hours.

Formación

• ACLS within 1 year of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN: Registered Nurse.
• Education: Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and follow-up.

RN credential

1 year experience
