Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Pearland, TX. The 13-week assignment targets day shifts with 8-hour blocks and requires current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS.

The OR unit includes multiple procedures across orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological specialties. Collaboration and efficient case cart preparation are essential, with call coverage rotating among full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year OR experience.
• Current RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare case carts and assist in orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgeries.
• Provide family updates via phone or text.
• Support after-hours recovery nursing and participate in call coverage.
• Collaborate with a team of 5–6 RNs per shift; 1 charge nurse per shift.

Description:The operating room unit includes 4 ORs.There are 5-6 nurses per shift.Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 5-6 RNs.Night shift provides call coverage only.Shifts are typically 5 days a week, with plans for 8-hour shifts.10-hour shifts may be considered based on department staffing.Patient ratios are 1:1.Equipment includes da Vinci Xi, Hologic Trident, Stryker laparoscopic towers, Hana table, and Olympus Cystoscopy Tower.The EMR system in use is Meditech.Candidates should possess skills in orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgery.The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be proactive with an efficient workflow.Team collaboration is essential.Expectations include preparing case carts and providing family updates via phone or text.Staff are responsible for lunch and break relief.Support for after-hours recovery nursing is also required.Call coverage will rotate among full-time staff, with approximately 5 shifts in a month, including one weekend.
