Description:The facility operates an operating room with a total of 13 rooms and a staff of 25 RNs and 29 CSTs.The unit operates Monday through Friday with a staggered staffing model for peak hours and reduced staffing during off-hours.On weekdays, the unit can run up to 10 rooms during peak hours and 2 rooms overnight for trauma coverage.There is additional staffing on weekends, with a heavier load on Saturdays.Patient ratios average 50 hours of surgical time each week, with variability based on the day of the week.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

The ideal candidate should possess an open and outgoing personality.Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team are essential.Candidates with certifications such as CNOR and additional experience in burn, robotic, or neuro surgeries are preferred.
Weekend and on-call duties are part of the schedule.Call rotation occurs every four weeks and is distributed evenly among team members.Efforts are made to limit the total hours of work and call combined to a maximum of 60 hours per week.
