SoftPath Medical seeks an experienced Med/Tele RN for travel assignments in North Carolina. The nurse will cover shifts and support patient care across multiple facilities within the region.
Shifts include 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00 with 6-week rotations; weekend coverage and holiday rotations may apply. EPIC EMR is used for documentation; travel within the region is required.

Radius Rule: Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles outside the home unit
Average census: 51 patients daily
Minimum experience required: 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
First-time travelers: Accepted
Chronic diseases, CHF specialty area, mental health, addiction services for patients requiring 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, COPD, diabetes mellitus, wounds, geriatric care
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
RN to patient ratio: 1:4-6 depending on acuity; surge times may increase ratio to 1:7-8
General Med/Tele skillset including:
Nurse Manager, Administrative Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, Staff RNs, CNAs, Clinical Mentor, Rapid Response RN, House Supervisor
EMR System: EPIC
Department-specific equipment includes:
Floating within the region and scope of practice is required.
Floating to all facilities within the region as needed is mandatory; candidates not agreeable should decline.
Region 1 includes: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (including main and pediatric facilities). Floating may occur to any facility within this region.
If floating mid-shift, travel time between facilities will be compensated and remain on the clock.
New Employee Orientation (NEO)
2 days of departmental orientation
Weekend rotation: every other weekend
No on-call required
Holiday coverage: Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
Request Time Off (RTO): Up to 6 days off can be approved excluding holidays; additional time off requires extending the contract to meet hours
