DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Operating Room RN for our Tarzana, CA location. The role focuses on spine, orthopedics, and pain management procedures in an outpatient setting.

You will perform preoperative assessments, advocate for patients, scrub and circulate, assist anesthesia, and document care while maintaining sterile technique and infection control. This position offers hourly pay and per-diem scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 2–3 years of OR experience in acute care or surgery center.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments gathering patient history and identify risks.
• Advocate for patients and communicate with the surgical team throughout the surgical experience.
• Scrub and circulate to maintain a sterile field and monitor patient.
• Administer medications and assist anesthesia as needed.
• Document all aspects of the surgical process and outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor patients in the immediate postoperative period and manage complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and tech staff for seamless care.
