DISC Surgery Center seeks a per diem PACU RN in Thousand Oaks, CA to support post-operative care in a high-acuity outpatient setting.

You will monitor patients, manage pain, assess vitals and airways, collaborate with the surgical team, and document care in the EMR. The role offers weekday shifts, no weekends, and competitive hourly pay.

Candidates must hold an RN license with BCLS/ACLS; PACU experience, especially spine/total joint recovery, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• BCLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in airway management and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Must have previous PACU experience, especially in total joints and spine recovery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients' conditions and manage their pain levels.
• Assess patients' vital signs and airways post-surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
