Job summary

DISC Surgery Center in Newport Beach is seeking a per diem PreOp/ PACU RN for day shift between 5am and 12pm. The role supports orthopedic and spinal procedures in a premier outpatient setting.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with BCLS/ACLS or ability to obtain within 90 days, and have 2+ years in PACU or ICU, with strong airway management and pain assessment skills. No weekends or holidays, consistent team, and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States.
• BCLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or ICU experience.
• Experience with post-operative care and pain assessment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients and manage their pain.
• Assess patients' vital signs and airways post-surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.

This position will have a day shift starting between 5am and 12pm.
