Job summary

DISC Surgery Center is seeking a part-time PreOp/PACU RN for its Carlsbad location. This role typically involves 2-3 days per week (Monday - Friday) in an outpatient setting focused on orthopedic, spine, and pain management procedures.

You will monitor post-operative patients, assess vitals, manage pain, collaborate with the surgical team, administer medications, document care in EHRs, and provide emotional support to patients and families. Must hold an RN license with BCLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience in acute care, PACU, or ICU preferred.
• Proficiency in airway management and post-anesthesia care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients' conditions and manage their pain levels
• Assess patients' vital signs and airways post-surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort

To ensure success in this role, you should have:

• Valid RN license


• BCLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire


• Proficiency in airway management and post-anesthesia recovery


• 2 years’ experience in acute care, PACU, or ICU experience

Pay Range: $55.00 - $65.00/hour
