Job summary

DISC Surgery Center in Thousand Oaks seeks a full-time PreOp/PACU RN to join our outpatient team. You’ll monitor post-operative patients, manage pain, assess vitals, and support the surgical team with patient safety and comfort.

Requires RN license with BCLS/ACLS or ability to obtain within 90 days. Two years of acute care, PACU, or ICU experience preferred. No weekends; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required.
• BCLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in airway management and post-anesthesia recovery.
• 2 years’ experience in acute care, PACU, or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients' conditions and manage pain levels.
• Assess vital signs and airways post-surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
