Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital Operations seeks an administrative liaison to coordinate staffing, patient flow, and bed utilization within the Hospital Operations department of Allegheny General Hospital. This role interfaces with staff, patients, physicians, families and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires nursing experience, PA RN licensure (or eNLC), and background clearances.

Qualifications

• 3 years recent nursing experience
• Current PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure via eNLC
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
• CPR – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Has authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and notify the administrator on call, Legal Dept and/or Risk Management when appropriate.
• Serves as a resource person in dealing with complex or complicated patients; identifies and resolves issues affecting patient care.
• Facilitates patient flow, ensures resources are used appropriately and cost-effectively.
• Ensures compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
