Qualifications

• RN in operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education around peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with surgeons, techs and interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient status accurately throughout shift.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition and follow-up.
