Union Health in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a PRN RN for the 3EA unit, a surgical/orthopedic focused team. You will care for patients undergoing joint replacement, spine and urology procedures, emphasizing discharge education and home recovery.

The unit is led by Amanda Barnett with strong preceptorship and education support. Eligible candidates hold an Indiana RN license, ASN or BSN, BLS, and have a commitment to nursing excellence.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program and Indiana RN license.
• BLS certification required; prior RN experience preferred.
• PRN/on-call evening shift nursing role.

Our ONU RN’s play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health. 3EA is a surgical unit specializing in the care of patients who have undergone total joint replacement surgery, fractures that may or may not need surgical intervention, spine, and urology surgeries. This unit includes the Total Joint Replacement Center. 3EA is dedicated to providing comprehensive education to ensure the best possible recovery at home.

This unit is led by Nursing Care Manager, Amanda Barnett. She has been with Union Health since 1997 and has been leading this unit since 2012.

Essential & valuable nursing skills gained on this unit :

• Care of the surgical patient post-operative to discharge
• Care of CVAD, Midlines, and PICC lines
• Wound vac and wound care
• Nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance
• Care of orthopedic patients
• Care of brain and spine surgeries
• Care of any urological patients
• Foley insertion and care of CBI
• JP, Hemovac, and Accordian drain care and maintenance
• Blood product administration

• Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
• Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
• Assists the physician with special procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
• Must have Indiana RN license
• PreviousRN experience preferred

License/Certification :

• BLS certification
• IN RN license
