Job summary

Banner MD Anderson, part of Banner Health, seeks an RN Early Navigation in Medical Oncology to coordinate pre-appointment care and identify candidates for the Multi-Disciplinary Clinic. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to minimize barriers to care and optimize outcomes, ensuring a smooth pre-consultation experience for patients.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient education, and adherence to MDC procedures, with a focus on improving access and care quality in a busy oncology

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice, or compact license. Temporary license acceptable.
• Minimum three years of experience in the specialty area.
• Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills; good time management; working knowledge of word processing and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assess barriers to care in pre-appointment space and provide resources to improve appointment attendance.
• Review medical records to confirm appropriate scheduling and document findings.
• Collaborate with Social Workers, RN Navigators, and Patient Access to support complex care needs and educate practices.
• Serve as a direct patient contact before initial consultation; answer questions about the MDC and services.
• Support process improvements to optimize clinical, financial, operational and satisfaction outcomes.
• Identify MDC candidates and educate them on MDC procedures.
