Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA, is seeking an experienced oncology RN to join their team. The role supports medical and radiation oncology; patient care is provided directly and indirectly with a focus on holistic well-being.

The position requires an active Iowa RN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with BSN and oncology credentials preferred. Chemotherapy biotherapy certification is required before chemo administration orientation.

Qualifications

Summary

• Position will assist in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology
• Responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes

Requirements

• Active IA RN licence
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• BSN and oncology experience preferred
• Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration

Schedule

• 72 hours per pay period
• M-F; 7:30a-5p
• On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks after 1 year of employment
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
