Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – McKinney is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in Oncology. The unit is fast-paced with high acuity and a mix of medical and surgical oncology patients, including IV chemotherapy as needed.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Min of 1 yr. Acute Care, Med Surg hospital RN experience
• RN license
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role

• Provide care in oncology unit with high acuity patients
• Assist in chemotherapy administration and related patient care as applicable

Oncology

Our Oncology unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuitypatients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Patient Population: Majority of our patients are medical, and we have a mixture of medical and surgical oncology patients and occasionally administer IV chemotherapy.

We are Commission on Cancer recognized hospital and a Sammons Cancer Center, which means that we provide a variety of care for patients that include the availability of Nurse Navigators, Child Life Specialists as well as a fully staffed Supportive and Palliative Care Team. In addition, we strive to get all our nurses' chemotherapy certified within the first 6 months of being an employee.
