Baylor Scott & White Health in McKinney, TX seeks an ICU RN for full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) to join a Magnet-recognized facility. The role emphasizes bedside care in diverse patient populations, from medical to surgical, with strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and continuous education.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years ICU RN experience and a solid foundation in nursing ethics, privacy, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Patient Population:Medical and Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Sepsis, Cardiac, Vascular

Patient Ratios: 1:2

Number of Beds: 16 beds

Department Specifics: Daily shift team huddle and shift reports, bedside shift reporting, purposeful rounding, multi-disciplinary rounding, provide clinical support to different departments (Code Team, Rapid Response Team, Staff Training and Education, Floating), Diversity and Inclusion projects, Unit Based Employee of the Month, Birthday celebration and more, Unit Practice Council, Clinical Practice Council.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.
Know nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.
Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.
