Job summary

Avita Health System seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Oncology Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The role involves assessing, planning and delivering nursing care for oncology patients, coordinating care and supporting patient education and advocacy in a busy outpatient clinic.

Requirements include Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within timelines, PICC/Midline training or willingness to obtain, and preferred outpatient clinic experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current completion of an online education program for PICC/Midline insertion or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Assesses, plans and implements the nursing care of patients within the specialty clinic. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission. Provides coordination to the clinical staff as to patient flow and clinical operations as directed by the Oncology Manager.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 (six) months of hire.
• Current completion of an online education program for PICC/Midline insertion or will to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred:
