Job summary

Avita Health System seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MedSurg department at the Galion location. The role includes direct patient care, care coordination across shifts, and supervision of nursing staff. A focus on patient advocacy and education is essential.

Current OH RN license with BLS & ACLS is required. Preference given to telemetry experience and PALS for charge trained nurses; two years of nursing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license and current BLS & ACLS certifications are required.
• Telemetry experience and PALS certification are preferred for charge trained nurses.
• Two or more years of nursing experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care on MedSurg patients.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Galion location.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
