Job summary

Avita Health System's Avita Galion Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MedSurg Department on a regular part-time basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care and patient advocacy in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care, coordinating with staff, and teaching patients and families. Eligible candidates must hold an Ohio RN license with BLS and ACLS; telemetry experience and PALS are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio (OH).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred telemetry experience; PALS optional for charge trained nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care on the unit.
• Ensure continuity of care between shifts and supervise nursing assistants and staff.
• Provide patient and family teaching; advocate for patients.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Galionlocation.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
