Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a dedicated RN for Oncology in Durham, NC. This 13-week contract requires a pediatric oncology background, night shifts, and 12-hour units.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of pediatric oncology experience, current compact/state RN license, and active BLS, PALS, and chemo certifications. Expect collaborative care and cross-disciplinary support in a dynamic pediatric environment.

  • Management of central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes.
  • Usage of infusion pumps and PCA pump management.

Description:Targeted start date is October 5, 2026.The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience and pediatric experience is required.The following certifications must be in-hand: BLS, PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON.Skill set includes:

  • Accessing and managing ports
  • Administration of chemotherapy, blood products, and bone marrow
  • Patient education and support
  • Recognizing and managing side effects
  • Care coordination and teamwork in a pediatric oncology setting
  • Management of central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes
  • Usage of infusion pumps and PCA pump management
  • Knowledge of alterations in skin and mucous membranes
  • Implementation of precautions for neutropenic patients

This role involves caring for a unique and complex patient population, including stem cell transplant recipients and pediatric oncology patients with high-risk conditions.Professional growth opportunities are available through interdisciplinary support and collaboration within a comprehensive care framework.Flexibility to work every other weekend is required.Candidate must maintain responsiveness and meet compliance deadlines throughout the contract duration.
