Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN - Oncology to join our oncology unit for a 13-week assignment. The unit has 41 beds; day shift, 07:00-19:00, with one charge nurse, up to five RNs, and two patient care technicians per floor.

Candidates must have an active nursing license, current BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience. Knowledge of sterile dressing changes, infection prevention, and blood/electrolyte replacement protocols is required; familiarity with ports/central lines is preferred.

Description:This position is for an oncology unit.The unit has a total of 41 beds with dedicated staff.During the day shift, there is one charge nurse, up to five registered nurses, and two patient care technicians per floor.The night shift also has one charge nurse, up to five registered nurses, and one patient care technician per floor.The estimated patient ratios are 4:1 to a maximum of 5:1.Key equipment includes baxter pumps.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.Candidates must possess a general understanding of medical oncology.Familiarity with ports and central lines is preferred.Daily procedures performed on the unit include blood and electrolyte replacement and sterile dressing changes.A team-centered approach is essential for this role.
