Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an Oncology RN for a 13-week assignment. This medical-surgical oncology role requires a flexible Day/Night Rotate shift with 12-hour blocks. The nurse will care for medically complex patients, administer medications, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
Active RN license (ND or Compact) and BLS are required, with 2+ years in a large hospital. EPIC experience is preferred, and the ability to float to all med-surg units is expected.

Description:Nurses care for medically complex hematology/oncology patients, needing blood products, antibiotics, and symptom/side effect management.Nurses perform head-to-toe assessments, administer medications, communicate with the interdisciplinary team, and update patients and families.If trained to administer chemotherapy, duties might include administering chemotherapy as assigned.Equipment utilized includes EPIC, monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, language line, and communication devices.Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 for patients receiving chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant patients, and 1:4-6 for regular oncology patients on nights.Nurses will not work alone and no on-call duties are required.Floating to other med-surg units may be necessary.Training includes 8 hours of classroom training followed by unit-specific training.Navy blue scrubs are required.
