Job summary

University of South Alabama Health System is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to lead and administer hospital-wide employee health and occupational health programs in Mobile, AL. The role includes evaluating illnesses, coordinating screenings, and supporting infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with Alabama standards and 3 years of professional nursing experience required.
• RN license in Alabama required; state licensure or compact licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; experience in employee health/occupational health preferred.
• COHN certification preferred; comparable education/experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates a hospital-wide employee health program.
• Provides evaluation, triage, and management of employee illnesses and occupational exposures.
• Coordinates and performs health and drug screenings for employees.
• Leads the Respiratory Protection Program and provides employee education.
• Maintains medical records and supports infection prevention and control efforts.
• Participates in research studies and quality improvement activities.
