Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to oversee employee health across our hospital system. The role requires RN licensure in Alabama, a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and relevant occupational health experience; COHN is preferred.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing health programs, evaluating employee illnesses, coordinating screenings, and collaborating with Infection Prevention and Control.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Alabama is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• COHN Certification preferred.
• Experience in Employee Health or Occupational Health is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates an ongoing hospital-wide employee health program; participates in committees.
• Provides evaluation, triage, and management of employee illnesses and occupational exposures.
• Conducts exposure risk assessments and initiates laboratory testing as needed.
• Coordinates and performs health and drug screenings on current employees.
• Leads the facility Respiratory Protection Program, including fit testing and education.
• Maintains medical records and collaborates with Infection Prevention and Control.
