Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit. This Weekend Only Work (WOW) role covers nights from 7pm to 7am, 24 hours weekly, with premium pay for WOW shifts.

The unit cares for short-stay patients and requires Indiana RN license, BLS, ACLS within 12 months. ER experience preferred; sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or compact state.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care.New Graduate RNs welcome.

Qualifications:

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
