Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit in New Albany, IN. This full-time night shift (7pm-7am) role covers 36 hours weekly with a sign-on bonus available for experienced external applicants. The Observation Unit serves short-stay patients in a 29-bed setting, providing care from admission to discharge.

Qualifications

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care. New Graduate RNs welcome.
