Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with 7pm–7am shifts and every 3rd weekend, plus rotating holidays.

You will provide safe, compassionate care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans in collaboration with nurses and physicians to ensure optimal outcomes. Qualifications include an Illinois RN license, an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, CPR

Qualifications

• Requires Illinois RN licensure
• CPR certification by the American Heart Association
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required)
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s required within five years if only an Associate degree)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred (within five years if starting from ADN)

Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members, including nurses and physicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required within five years if only an Associate Degree held)
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• CPR certification by the American Heart Association
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg)
• ACLS certification
• At least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience
