Success Education Colleges is seeking an Adjunct RN OBGYN Theory Instructor for the Glendale, California campus to deliver obstetric and gynecological nursing theory for the ADN program. The role focuses on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and reproductive health, educating students with evidence-based practices and clinical judgment in a classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution required, consistent with applicable California Board of Registered Nursing faculty requirements.
• Current, active California RN license in good standing.
• Recent direct patient care experience in obstetric nursing or the designated nursing content area.
• Demonstrated knowledge and competency in obstetric and gynecological nursing.
• Prior nursing education or teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to meet applicable California Board of Registered Nursing faculty approval requirements for obstetric nursing instruction.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction in obstetric and gynecological nursing theory.
• Teach topics including reproductive health, prenatal care, normal and high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, and common gynecological conditions.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, presentations, assignments, and learning activities aligned with course objectives.
• Use teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and promote student engagement and critical thinking.
• Integrate nursing process, clinical judgment, prioritization, and patient-centered care into instruction.
• Develop, administer, and evaluate examinations, quizzes, assignments, and other assessments.
• Provide timely feedback and support remediation for students with difficulties.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records.
