Position includes guiding students in safe patient care, evaluating performance, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate holds an MSN (BSN may be considered) and RN licensure in the applicable state, with 3+ years of OB/GYN or maternal-newborn

Qualifications

• MSN preferred; BSN may be accepted depending on program and regulatory requirements.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum three years of OB/GYN or maternal-newborn nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct nursing students during OB/GYN clinical rotations in healthcare settings.
• Guide students in providing safe, competent, and patient-centered care to obstetric and neonatal patients.
• Facilitate clinical learning experiences in prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Address women's health and reproductive care within clinical teaching.
• Ensure adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Evaluate student clinical performance through direct observation, skills assessments, and clinical documentation.
• Provide immediate, constructive feedback; complete midterm and final evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and competencies.
• Collaborate with clinical site staff to coordinate learning experiences and communicate expectations.
• Serve as liaison between the nursing program and clinical facility personnel.
• Maintain alignment of assignments with course objectives and student learning needs.
• Mentor students to develop confidence, critical thinking, and clinical judgment.
• Foster a positive, inclusive clinical learning environment and comply with regulatory requirements.
