Job summary

Lexington Park Health & Rehab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants according to federal, state, and local standards. You will ensure high-quality care and coordinate with other departments to maintain a resident’s total care plan.

The role requires maintaining policy compliance, administering clinical procedures, and participating in facility surveys as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license (RN) in good standing with the State.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures; plan shifts, services, programs and activities; provide reports/recommendations as required.
• Cooperate with other resident services to maintain the resident's total regimen of care.
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, suction, dressings, colostomy care, and other procedures as required.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting; encourage physicians to review and sign orders.
