HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in South Florida seeks an experienced RN Nurse Manager for the Stepdown Unit PCU to lead clinical teams, ensure safe patient care, and drive quality initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, bedside supervision, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care and staffing in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting.

• The manager demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient.
• The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.
